WEOM® Smart Ethernet thermal camera module
WEOM® Smart Ethernet is a compact, high-performance thermal imaging core designed for seamless integration into a wide range of applications – from professional security systems to autonomous technologies and industrial automation. This fully functional, ITAR-free module is developed in Europe with a strong focus on reliability, flexibility, and easy deployment. Thanks to its versatility, it is ideal for UAV/UGV platforms, mobile and fixed thermal cameras, intelligent traffic systems, machine vision, and specialized defense applications.
The module uses an uncooled microbolometer with a resolution of 640 × 480 px, a 17 μm pixel pitch, and thermal sensitivity of <30 mK, delivering highly detailed imaging even in minimal temperature differences. The resulting image is sharp, high-contrast, and clearly visible under all conditions. WEOM® Smart Ethernet is also equipped with a wide range of interfaces including Ethernet (with PoE support), RS485 for PTZ control, digital I/Os, and full ONVIF compatibility, allowing for quick integration into any modern system without the need for additional development or customization.

Thanks to its open architecture and support for standard interfaces, WEOM® Smart Ethernet enables effortless deployment into existing infrastructures without requiring the development of proprietary software. This makes it a perfect choice for projects with tight timelines or limited budgets, where speed, simplicity, and reliability are key. The built-in web interface provides direct access to all functionalities – from live streaming over the network to detailed configuration of parameters and security settings.
The flexibility of lens selection, high thermal sensitivity, advanced image processing features, and rugged construction give system integrators full freedom to tailor the solution to project-specific needs. The module is engineered to perform reliably even in demanding environments and is well-suited for a broad spectrum of use cases – from industrial and infrastructure applications to mobile platforms and intelligent surveillance systems.

Configuration
Thermal Camera Core WEOM® configuration optimizes image quality and performance for applications like unmanned vehicles and thermal sights. It features advanced image processing.
The configuration tool WEOM GUI for the thermal imaging Core WEOM® provides setting of various parameters to optimise image quality and performance in every situation. It offers advanced image processing, enhancing details and contrast optimalization through different spatial and temporal image filters as well as settings of the frame rate, gain control and user dead pixel correction wizard.
Modular architecture. One unified control.
WEOM thermal cameras are built around a proven two-part concept: a high-performance thermal core and a pluggable interface.
The same core hardware is used across the lineup, while different plugins adapt the camera to your application.
All advanced functions
are controlled through a unified interface and ready-to-use software tools.
One core, multiple interfaces
Identical thermal core hardware across
the product line, with plugins providing HDMI, CVBS, GigE, UVC or RTSP video output.
Unified control via TCSI
All advanced features are controlled through
a single serial interface, independent of the selected video plugin.
Easy integration
Start with WEOM GUI, or integrate directly using C++ / Python libraries or the SEP REST API
on embedded and desktop platforms.
