Workswell WIRIS® Enterprise with gimbal is a Multi-sensor Camera that has been specifically designed for use with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV/UGV), or drones. The WIRIS OS and integrated sensors provide unprecedented aerial imaging capabilities for a range of commercial drone applications, including thermal inspections, security applications, firefighting, geological, archeological, forestry studies, ecological and environmental research.
Using the WIRIS® Enterprise on a three-axis gimbal brings significant advantages for inspections and security operations: stabilization effectively dampens vibrations and platform tilts, ensuring the image remains clear and readable even in windy conditions, speed changes, or when working with a long focal length and 30× optical zoom. Thanks to smooth movements and precise targeting, it's possible to keep the focus on the monitored area for longer periods, which improves the quality of radiometric data and reduces the risk of blurring. The operator gains confidence in framing shots and can confirm findings (such as faults, anomalies, or leaks) more quickly, reducing the number of necessary flyovers and shortening response times.
The gimbal also allows for a safe distance from the object—maintaining excellent image readability without the need to dangerously approach the drone or UGV. Stabilized sensor control further enhances the repeatability of measurements at the same points over time, which is crucial for trend analysis and documentation. Overall, the combination of WIRIS® Enterprise and a high-quality gimbal delivers greater accuracy, faster workflows, and consistent results in challenging field conditions.
