The GigE Module for FLIR TAU2, designed by Workswell, offers significant advantages and application possibilities for thermal imaging and analysis. This module facilitates easy, user-friendly PC connections for FLIR TAU2 cores, providing an automatic detection of image streams and control over the TAU2 core via a 50pins Hirose interface connector. It's supplied directly from an Ethernet cable through Power over Ethernet (PoE), which not only simplifies the power supply but also minimizes power consumption, reducing the need for special cooling solutions. The low power consumption and compatibility with Gigabit Ethernet and GigE Vision standards make it a versatile tool for a wide range of applications.
Moreover, the module supports various pixel resolutions and offers robust measurement tools through the Workswell CorePlayer software, enhancing user interaction with temperature values displayed in different color palettes. This software also allows for the management of core parameters and provides access to a tutorial application, Linux and Windows dll libraries, and C# application code, further extending its utility. The module's metal enclosure ensures durability, and its compatibility with TAU2 640, 336, 324, and 160px versions, along with both fast and slow versions of TAU2, broadens its application scope to industrial, scientific, and security domains, among others.
